Once a top smartphone company Micromax is making a comeback with premium smartphones in the budget segment with new looks. Micromax was one of the top mobile phone brands in India. But with the tuff competition form other brands slowly Micromax began to fade.
The company last launched smartphone was launched in 2019 Micromax iOne Notch which is available on the eCommerce website for Rs.6,999.
As per the interview given to Gadget 360 by one of the officials of Micromax, the company will be working on 3 new smartphones from next month. The company will launch under Rs.10000 segment with all updated features and premium looks.
Micromax has a record of re-branding Chinese smartphone brands like YU and Coolpad. In those times the company had quite a good number of shares in the smartphone market and also had many loyal customers. Micromax will try its best to gain back its user base.
It can be a very good opportunity for Micromax to step-up its foot because the whole of India is looking forward to Making in India project. But till now the company has not cleared whether it will import material from china or manufacture of its own.
The company is using hashtags like #MadeinIndia and #MadeforIndia on twitter and it is a good sign for India if Micromax returns in the smartphone market. All the 3 Smartphone phones will be launched together in India for its customers and with the response, the company will be encouraged to proceed further and carry on with its new launches.
